Welcome to Pembs Ice Blasting. By booking or using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these carefully before booking.
Pembs Ice Blasting provides professional automotive dry ice cleaning, dry ice blasting, underbody cleaning and preservation, chassis and subframe cleaning, wheel arch cleaning, and protective coating services.Depending on the service booked, this may include the application of FEYNLAB Industrial V2 or another suitable protective treatment. Our services are intended to clean, prepare and protect suitable vehicle surfaces. The exact work carried out will depend on the vehicle’s condition, construction, accessibility and the service agreed at the time of booking.
Bookings may be made through our website, telephone, email, social media or other agreed methods.A deposit may be required to secure certain bookings, particularly higher-value services or appointments requiring significant preparation time.Unless otherwise agreed, the remaining balance is payable when the work has been completed and before the vehicle is collected. We accept the payment methods made available by Pembs Ice Blasting at the time of booking.
A deposit may be required when booking a service with Pembs Ice Blasting.Once a booking is confirmed and the required materials have been ordered specifically for that vehicle, the deposit may become non-refundable. This is because certain materials, including dry ice, are purchased specifically in preparation for the customer’s appointment and may not be capable of being stored, returned or resold.Where applicable, the deposit may also cover materials such as protective coatings and other consumables that have been ordered or allocated specifically for the customer’s vehicle.Cancellation by the CustomerIf a customer cancels their appointment after materials have been ordered specifically for their vehicle, the deposit will normally be retained to cover the reasonable costs already incurred in preparing for the booking. If a customer provides sufficient notice before materials have been ordered, Pembs Ice Blasting may, at its discretion, offer to refund or transfer the deposit to a future appointment.Where materials have already been purchased or prepared specifically for the booking, the deposit may be retained even where the customer subsequently cancels or reschedules.ReschedulingWe understand that circumstances can change. Where possible, we will try to accommodate requests to reschedule. If sufficient notice is provided and the materials ordered for the original appointment can reasonably be used for the rearranged appointment, the deposit may be transferred to the new booking.Where a booking is repeatedly rescheduled, cancelled at short notice, or materials have already been purchased specifically for the appointment, an additional deposit or payment may be required to secure a new date.Cancellation by Pembs Ice BlastingIf Pembs Ice Blasting has to cancel an appointment and the cancellation is not due to circumstances caused by the customer, we will offer to rearrange the appointment or, where appropriate, refund the deposit.Nothing in this section affects any statutory cancellation or refund rights that apply to consumers under UK law.
Payment in full is required before the vehicle is released. If an outstanding balance remains after the agreed work has been completed, Pembs Ice Blasting reserves the right to retain possession of the vehicle until payment has been received, to the extent permitted by law.Vehicles should be collected at the agreed time unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance.Additional storage charges may apply where a vehicle remains at our premises beyond the agreed collection time.
Customers must provide accurate information when booking, including details of the vehicle and any known modifications, previous repairs, corrosion, damage or other relevant issues.Customers must inform us of any known mechanical, electrical, structural or safety issues that could affect the work. The vehicle must be delivered to us in a condition that allows it to be safely moved and worked on.Customers should remove valuable or personal belongings from the vehicle before leaving it with us.Pembs Ice Blasting is not responsible for personal belongings left inside the vehicle.
Vehicles are inspected before work begins where reasonably possible. We may photograph the vehicle and relevant areas before, during and after the service to document its condition and the work carried out.Dry ice blasting can remove dirt, grease, road grime, old loose coatings and other contamination that may have concealed existing defects.Once these contaminants have been removed, previously hidden damage or deterioration may become visible. This can include:Existing corrosionSurface rustCracksPrevious repairsDamaged paintFlaking coatingsStone damageDentsLeaksDamaged fastenersDeteriorated componentsPrevious underseal or coating failuresThe discovery of such issues does not mean they have been caused by our work.
Dry ice blasting is primarily a cleaning and surface-preparation process. It is highly effective at removing contamination such as dirt, grease, road grime, mud and certain existing coatings without the use of water.Dry ice blasting does not guarantee the removal of all rust or corrosion.Depending on the condition and construction of the vehicle, some contamination, corrosion, coatings or residues may require additional methods of preparation. We will use methods appropriate to the vehicle and the agreed service.
Existing corrosion will be assessed as part of the cleaning and inspection process.Where corrosion is present, Pembs Ice Blasting may recommend additional preparation, treatment or repair before protective coating is applied. We do not guarantee the removal of all corrosion.Severe corrosion, structural corrosion or damage affecting the safety or integrity of the vehicle may require specialist mechanical or bodywork repairs before preservation work can continue. We reserve the right to decline coating an area where we believe doing so would produce an unsuitable result.
Vehicles may have existing underseal, wax, paint, rustproofing products or other protective coatings.Dry ice blasting may expose areas where previous coatings have failed, separated or been applied over contamination or corrosion.Additional time may be required to remove unsuitable previous coatings.Where substantial additional work is required, this may result in an additional charge. We will discuss significant additional work and costs with the customer before proceeding wherever reasonably possible.
Our underbody preservation services are designed to clean, prepare and protect suitable vehicle surfaces.Depending on the package, this may include areas such as:Front or rear subframesChassis railsFloorpan areasSuspension mounting areasStructural membersWheel arch areasOther suitable painted metal surfacesThe exact areas included will depend on the package purchased and the construction of the vehicle. Some components or surfaces may need to be excluded or masked.Underbody preservation is a preventative treatment and does not guarantee that a vehicle will remain completely free from rust or corrosion indefinitely. No coating can eliminate the effects of road salt, moisture, stone impact, mechanical damage, environmental exposure or future deterioration.
Where FEYNLAB Industrial V2 is included in the service, it will be applied according to the manufacturer’s application requirements and to suitable surfaces.FEYNLAB Industrial V2 is a protective coating designed for demanding environments and provides properties including chemical resistance, abrasion resistance and high water repellency. The coating does not:Repair structural corrosionConvert significant existing rust into sound metalMake a surface permanently rust-proofPrevent stone chips or mechanical damageMake a vehicle scratch-proofReplace necessary mechanical or bodywork repairsThe longevity of any coating depends on the condition of the underlying surface, preparation, vehicle use, environmental exposure, road salt, chemicals, abrasion, impacts, repairs and other factors.Any manufacturer warranty applies only where the manufacturer’s specific warranty requirements and terms are met.
